We previously posted articles from the Tribune and the Nassau Guardian detailing these events. This Bahama Journal article offers more information and a clearer determination of the government’s immigration/migration policy as it relates to Haitians arriving in the Bahamas after January 12th.

78 Haitians Sent Back To Haiti

“According to the ministry’s press release officials are in compliance with a recently implemented policy that states that Haitian migrants entering The Bahamas illegally following January’s earthquake would be apprehended and returned to their country.”


Remember to send your letter urging the government to create sensible and humane immigration, migration and refugee policy.
