The Lambi Coalition of The Bahamas.

“The Lambi Coalition of The Bahamas was created as an African-led effort to build and nurture Haitian-Bahamian solidarity. “Lambi” is the Creole word for “Conch” and has been chosen given the conch shells’ long standing symbol of resistance for Africans…”

The Great Divide.

ON January 23rd – 24th in St. Petersburg, Florida the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice Peace and Reparations held its first Conference. Alex Morley gave a timely presentation entitled, “The Condition of Haitian Workers in The Bahamas and the Struggle for Democracy in Haiti” on behalf of BlackFood.org.

Black is Back National Rally & March to Defend Haiti.

The relief effort from others getting in touch with their humanity has some positives. However, African people everywhere and all who believe in justice are called on to join the in the National March and Rally to Defend Haiti, which is going to be held in Miami, Florida on February 20th 2010.

Haiti Mobilization Comes Out of Black is Back Conference.

The Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice Peace and Reparations held its first Conference on January 23rd – 24th at the Uhuru House in St. Petersburg, Florida just weeks after an earthquake destroyed Haiti’s capital killing hundreds of thousands and leaving millions homeless.
